As we play with colors, dyes, treatments, and construction of complex fabrics, there are bound to be substances that may be dangerous to human. However, with OEKO-TEX’s standard, those worries are eliminated as thorough testing has been done in every step of the production to make sure that all components of the fabric are harmless to the human health.
Plastic, polyester, polyvinyl chloride, and polypropylene are some of the most widely used materials for any kinds of production around the world. They are cheap, easy to process, and easy to procure. However, they are harmful to our environment as they are man-made and are not biodegradable. Some of our products which are made out of polyester has been certified to at least contain 40% of recycled yarn made out of plastic.
Other than materials, every manufacturing companies has other carbon footprints and other damaging environmental contributions. ISO has made sure that our manufacturing company have complied with the international standard. In other words, we have improved our production techniques, energy supply, and waste management to minimize the negative impact.
Our fabrics are called technical textile due to the complexity of the production process. They are not the same as fabrics that are used for clothing and apparel. Hence, there are not many companies who can manufacture consistent, high quality technical textile. ISO has made sure that our company’s management and production process is up to the international standard, which in turn results in product defects being highly minimized.
